Accessibility Statement
OllieSafe is committed to building software that all safety professionals can use, regardless of ability. This page reflects our current conformance posture and how to reach our accessibility team.
Conformance target
OllieSafe targets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA across the marketing site and the authenticated product. We also align with the U.S. Section 508 Refresh (36 CFR Part 1194), which incorporates WCAG by reference.
Current conformance status
As of May 2026, the marketing site is Partially Conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We audit on every release and treat any axe-detected critical or serious violation on a first-class page as a ship-blocker.
Known gaps under active remediation
- SC 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) — Does Not Support. A small set of brand-blue text-on-tinted-background pairs currently measure 3.93:1 against the required 4.5:1 ratio. The affected surfaces are the secondary CTA in the closing call-to-action banner, the launch-offer chip in the homepage hero, and the inline launch-band chip. Remediation is in flight via the R3 Wave 1 contrast token re-work.
- SC 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value — Does Not Support. Two patterns trip this criterion at the time of writing: the interactive U.S. map nests a focusable
<path role="link">inside a next/link anchor, and the mobile-sticky CTA wrapper appliesaria-hiddenwithout removing the inner link from the tab order. Both fixes are in flight via the R3 Wave 1 a11y scaffold work.
The full audit lives at docs/audits/r3/lane-09-a11y.md in our repository and enumerates the specific selectors, the WCAG criteria they map to, and the remediation plan. We will update this page as gaps close.
Tested with
Automated scanning runs @axe-core/playwright against Desktop (1280×720), Tablet (iPad Mini), and Mobile (iPhone 13) viewports on every release. Manual screen-reader review uses VoiceOver (macOS / iOS), NVDA (Windows), and TalkBack (Android). Keyboard-only review uses Chrome and Safari.
